This tool allows you to automate repetitive tasks, improve workflow efficiency, and stay engaged with your audience—all in a simple drag-and-drop interface. Whether you want to send custom notifications, create personalized emails, or connect with third-party apps, the Automations Builder makes the process quick and easy. By automating key aspects of your business, you can free up time to focus on what matters most: growing your business and building stronger relationships with your customers. Key Features of the Automation Builder The new Automations Builder includes several key features that make it easier than ever to create and manage your automated workflows: Customizable Triggers : Choose from a variety of triggers like form submissions, new subscribers, or purchases to initiate actions. Visual Workflow Creation : The intuitive drag-and-drop interface lets you visually map out your automations, making the process simple even for non-technical users. Personalized Actions : Automate personalized responses, such as sending an email, updating a contact, or even triggering a webhook. Seamless Integration : Connect your automation with third-party tools and apps to keep everything in sync. Prebuilt Templates : Get started quickly with ready-made templates for common use cases, or create your own automations from scratch with the visual interface. How to Create Automations With the visual and intuitive Automations Builder , setting up an automation is quick and user-friendly: Choose a Trigger : Select from predefined triggers like new contacts, specific dates, or purchases. Define Actions : Using the drag-and-drop feature, specify what action you’d like to automate. This could range from sending a thank-you email to adding a tag to a customer. Test & Launch : After building your visual automation, test it to ensure it runs smoothly, then set it live to enjoy seamless efficiency. Use Case 1: Automate Email Follow-ups for Abandoned Carts One of the most powerful uses of the Automations Builder is setting up reminders for customers who abandon their carts. With the visual interface , you can create this automation with just a few clicks. Scenario: A customer adds items to their cart but doesn’t complete the purchase. Instead of manually reaching out, you can automate follow-up emails to remind them about their incomplete order. Steps: Trigger : Choose the trigger “Customer Abandons Cart.” Action : Set the action to send a personalized email reminding them to complete their purchase. Delay : You can add a time delay of 24 hours after the cart is abandoned before sending the reminder. Repeat Action : Add an additional reminder email if no action is taken within a few days. This simple automation can help recover lost revenue and keep your customers engaged without any manual effort. Use Case 2: Automate Customer Retention with Personalized Follow-ups Amelia, who owns a sustainably made clothing store, wants to build stronger relationships with her customers and encourage repeat business. With the visual Automations Builder , she can set up a smart system to thank customers and incentivize further purchases. Scenario: Every time an order is placed on Amelia’s online store, a thank-you email is automatically sent to the customer. To increase customer retention, Amelia creates two personalized follow-ups based on the total order value. Steps: Trigger : When an order is placed. Action : Send a thank-you email to the customer immediately after the order. Condition : If the order’s total is greater than €100, a coupon is sent 3 days later as a reward. Follow-up : For orders under €100, a reminder email is sent 7 days later, encouraging the customer to return and shop again. This tailored approach helps Amelia engage with her customers based on their shopping behavior, boosting loyalty and encouraging repeat purchases. Engage Your Audience with Automated Emails and Track Performance Email automation is a key feature for businesses looking to streamline communication. Whether it's sending a confirmation email after a form submission or nudging customers to complete their abandoned carts, automated emails keep your audience engaged effortlessly. In addition, each email automation provides in-depth statistics to measure effectiveness. You’ll have access to key data such as delivery rates, open rates, link clicks, and the number of site visits generated by the email. This insight helps you optimize your strategy and improve customer interactions. Did You Know? Automations Save Time: Businesses using automations have reported saving up to 30 hours per week on manual tasks. Higher Engagement Rates: Personalized automated emails receive up to 50% higher open rates compared to generic emails. Final Thoughts The new Wix Automations Builder is a game-changer for businesses looking to streamline their operations and boost customer engagement.
